Maintaining Your Raw Extensions

Raw hair will last 3-5 years with proper care. Taking care of your raw extensions plays a huge role in the longevity of your hair extensions.

At TheRawHairCollection we would like to share with you our hair care tips because maintaining your extensions is key to a healthy flawless look.

• Wash your extensions pre-install with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. We recommend Nexxus ProteinFusion Shampoo and Conditioner. 
• Shampoo and condition the extensions every 2-3 weeks with warm water, after washing deep condition and allow the hair to AIR DRY! Avoid excessive heat to the hair. (Keep hot tool temperature under 450* to avoid damaging extensions)
• When applying heat use heat protectant and serum. 
•  Use wide tooth comb or paddle brush to detangle extensions
• DO NOT use heavy products/oils on extensions to avoid greasy extensions and product build up.
• Extensions can be dyed to 613 (please avoid using chemicals on extensions if not a professional).
• To protect the hair at night, wear a bonnet or silk scarf.
